Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds NYC show to be released on DVD and CD

The DMB website made this announcement a few days back. Should be a pretty sweet CD and DVD. I will for sure be getting both the CD and DVD. They performed at Radio City Music Hall. The setlist from that night was pretty sweeeet.

Buzz: the bees are disappearing

NYTimes reports that the honeybee is disappearing here. The article says that "[h]oneybees are arguably the insects that are most important to the human food chain."

Najera to help establish Mexican basketball league

Former San Antonio resident (Cornerstone high school), Eduardo Najera, hopes to help establish a new Mexican Basketball league. You can read about his efforts here.

Despite Najera being a former Sooner and a former Maverick I still like the guy. Apparently he is quite the philanthropist. He represents both San Antonio and Mexico well. He reminds me a lot of one of my favorite players, Bruce Bowen, both on and off the court.

Vince Young UT Highlights

Again, if you're not a fan of VY or UT football you probably won't find this too interesting. But I found this to be freakin' awesome.

Rare Dave Matthews Video From 1994

If you're not a fan of Dave Matthews you probably won't find this video too interesting. But to those who are fans like me, here is a pretty interesting video of Matthews doing a solo performance at what appears to be a free promotional event in front of a small crowd. Crazy to think that in less than 10 years from this performance he would be filling up Central Park.

This is the first video in a five video series. You can see the rest here on YouTube. User DMBTatoo has all five videos.

Senate GOP to Latinos: "No Se Puede!"

This is old news, but important news. I still can't believe the mainstream media never picked up on this. Here's a press release from Harry Reid about how some "Senate Republicans objected to honoring the true legacy of Cesar Chavez."

Maybe I Should Have Gone To This Law School

The Boston Globe has this article on how students from Pat Robertson's fourth tier law school are landing big jobs at the DOJ. The now former Director of Public Affairs for the DOJ, Monica "I plead the Fifth" Goodling, graduated from there in '99.

Video of cute animals and interspecies lovin'

My friend made this video. I think it's pretty funny. The title is his. If you are curious as to who my friend is, just wait for the credits at the end. Hint: he is known for his ball of fire. Any copyright inquiries should also be directed to him.

Inaugural Address

Welcome to my new blog! Just thought I would write about what I envision this blog becoming. Most likely this blog will just serve as a place where I can post things that I find while combing through (or "surfing") the internet ("net"). I have an insatiable procrastination habit and often get my fix from surfing the net. I come across lots of things that I would like to share with others, so I will use this blog for that purpose. I checked out some other sites like del.icio.us and digg but I didn't like their formats so I'm going to try blogger out.

I had a blog before that I never really shared with anyone (it only had 3 entries, and trust me you weren't missing much). I learned from that blog, though, that I can't talk about myself. This is primarily because I am too private and too boring. So, sorry if you were looking to gain some insight into my life. You probably wont find that here. But hopefully you will find some other cool stuff. This is a güey cool blog after all.
